Finding The Right  Hair Style

A hair cut is the foundation
of all hair styles.
A style cut should follow the natural growth patterns of the hair to hold its shape as it grows out.

  • Wavy and curly hair for example, gets bushy and frizzy when exposed to humid weather. Having it cut and shape in layers for a contoured shape can reduce the frizz and bushy look.

  • Straight thin fine hair can look thicker and have more styling options with a soft firm body perm.

  • Large Nose looks smaller with lighter hair color and fuller hair styles. Center parts should be avoided.

  • Large Eyes can look smaller and less noticeable with soft brow brushing bangs.

  • High Foreheads look shorter with long bangs or combed across half of the forehead.

Large Face and Double Chins will look slimmer when styled close through the sides. Height at the crown will lift a double chin from a profile point of view.

  • Bangs & Fringe :
can help cover wide, narrow and high foreheads and accent the eyes. Thin soft see through bangs for rounded features, and blunt heavy or long side swept bangs for sharp features

  • Head and Face Size:
Fuller styled for large face and head size. Closer style for small face and head size__ think tailored, shaped to fit is key.

  • Long Necks look shorter with shoulder length hair. Short necks look longer with a shingled and tapered neck line.

  • Body Size: As a rule of thumb_ Shoulder length or longer hair styles for large bodies. And mid and short lengths for small bodies... balance is key.

The Shape, Cut and Style
 Should Fit The Face Shape
The styles you choose should not be so fussy that they detract from what nature has already perfected for you

  • Round Pulling your hair straight back will emphasize the roundness. If your hair style is short wear it fuller at the top and crown. If your hairstyle is long, it should be fuller on the neck to detract from the roundness.

  • Triangular Hair that frames the face for fullness around the jaw. And side part or bangs to balance the wide forehead

  • Rectangular Side parts or bangs that are cut at an angle or styles that are fuller at the sides give the illusion of width.

  • Square A wispy sweep of bangs across the brow will soften your face. Always think softness__ curls and waves will take the attention away from the angular edges.

  • Oval Hairstyles that frame your face are most flattering. Simplicity is key.

  • Pointed Chin is less noticeable with hair showing behind the ears from a frontal point of view. For men a goatee or beard will make it look wider.

  • The Aging Face Hair brushed back or pulled up on the sides can help lift facial features for a youthful look.  Hair styled flat and straight drags features down and can look savor or aging.

Men with Baby Face: If your lucky enough to be born with a "baby face" to look older add a mustache, beard or goatee.

  • For Men Facial Hair can cover a ruddy complexion, wide upper lip,  hide a pointed or double chins. Short close clipped beards are more youthful looking then long full bushy beards.
